Katarina’s Vegan Story:
- When and why you became vegan?
I became vegan when I was 19 years old. I wanted to see if it’s really true you can live without eating meat. At that time I was a big meat eater and I loved to eat all the animal products. However, being young and rebellious, I got inspired by a vegan stranger traveling on the train with me one sunny day is Slovakia. It’s been 22 years since my mom made that last meat dinner for me.
- Do you follow any detox program?
I don’t follow any detox program. I listen to my body very closely on daily bases and I can read the signals it sends me. I don’t deprive myself from nutrients. I like to eat and I eat a lot. I don’t think too much about what I’m eating. I just go by what my body asks for. I don’t even drink much water. I think I drink more Red Bull than water, lol.
- What is your favorite home-made skin care product?
I don’t really use home-made skin care products although recently I tried Tru-Green Organics face and body butter and I must say I’m pretty impressed. My favorite skin care line is Josie Maran. Her Whipped Argan Oil face and body butter is to die for.
